Hi guys,
I have a 4 year old Orpington hen who I found laying down in the yard this morning. When she stood up, she was limping, almost high stepping with the one leg. I can't find any signs if injury, but her chest up through her neck (not just her crop) feels swollen and squishy. She's eating, but something is definitely off.
Any ideas?

Your hen might be suffering from an impacted crop which often leads to enormous swelling is hindering the bird to walk normally.
By high-stepping the bird tries to move the hindering crop out of the way.

How does her crop feel, squishy as full of liquid or rather hard?
How does her poop look?
When did you last deworm her?
What exactly are you feeding?
Do your chickens have plenty grit available at all times?
When did she last lay an egg?

I would proceed as follows:

Separate her for the night in a cage with just a towel for bedding, without food or water and then in the morning feel her crop to see if it has emptied over night. If the crop is not empty in the morning, treat her as instructed in this article by @azygous :

Thanks for your reply!
I actually think I was panicking and her crop just felt different because she hadn't eaten as much. The issue appears to be purely her leg, I suspect she injured it somehow. She's still eating and is otherwise healthy, just favoring the leg. I've separated her to keep her from trying to roost and to keep the others from picking on her.
