Hi!

My little hens are limping, well, half grown hens, it started with one, and she just lays by the rabbit hutch now. She is interested in food, but when I feel her chest, there is no food in it. She just lays there, then I go pick her up and take her back to the coop. (Shes one of my friendly ones) but now another is limping. I bought them at the same place, and I'm worried, are all the others I bought going to start limping? Will it spread to the rest of my flock? Is there a cure?

I hope I posted this in the right place, and thanks for reading!

! Pleased you joined us! No, I don't think the rest of your flock is likely to start limping. Check your limping chicken - look for a swollen "palm" of the bottom of the foot - this could be something called bumblefoot. It's a hassle to treat but is doable. But it also might be something like a a temporary injury of the muscle or joint. For more advice post the symptoms in the link below. Good luck to you and best wishes!
