Limping pekin

Well, I took the pool out of thier pin. It looks like queen and lil mama just got rewrapped yesterday and Lou Lou is going to get her spa tonight and wrap with DMSO. she still has one spot that im watching not sure what it is. I'll get pictures of all three tonight. thanks for asking how is your babies doing?

Good, but turbos swelling has came back. So she is back on the rimadyl.... but is walking without a major limp!

Lou lou has still some swelling, not sure from what I soaked tonight, I tried opening up one spot but got nothing

wrapped it back up with DMSO I'll soak again tomorrow and reassess her foot again ... what all you guys think?????

It’s looking better! You might need to jtake a break for a couple of weeks. Just do soaks while, Maybe so me the healing needs to be done internally.

You don't think I need to put anything on it for swelling, just soaking?

sorry, that came out wrong.

I would do soaks daily and then apply the DMSO every other day. the DMSO can be an irritate the skin with prolonged use from what i have read. I know that when the BF in mine was healing good, my vet told me to do the dmso every other day.

Good I moved the pin and took the pool out, now they just swim in the pond. They are all back together now. If I could just figure out how to keep my khaki drake away from queen my pekin, her neck is pitiful. She is just to big for him. She will walk around with him on her back but if she gets in the water he want stop and has pulled all her hair off the back of her neck because he can't get far enough back to mate with her..... any suggestions

Can you possibly separate the boys from the girls? I know you will feel bad but it’s the best thing you can do for the girls. It was hard at first for me but now it’s just the way it is. Unfortunately injuries will continue to happen if you don’t separate.

I've separated them before, when it first noticed but for how long? When I put them back together it seemed like it made it worse and the females just stayed close to the pin. It looked like they where lost without the drakes
