Our Rooster is limping on his left leg. There no visible signs of injury. He holds it up while he is standing still. I'm still somewhat a newbie. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Have someone hold him for you (put a dark cloth over his head and he will stay calm) and gently feel the leg and look at it closely to see if there are any obvious signs if injury or breaks in the bone. Also check the pad of the foot. If it is dirty wash it off with water. Make sure he doesn't have any cuts or something stuck in it like a thorn, If you see a black roundish scab he has bumblefoot.

The bumblefoot procedure is very well documented on this forum and will show you what to do.

If no breaks are found he probably acting like a rooster and strained it. Keep a close eye on him. I'm sure it will pass.
