update...situation under control...i did the drawing salve and epsom soaks and
after about 5 days it looked ready to explode so i sterilized some tools and went in...as you may imagine she didnt enjoy it much and luckily i had watched some youtube vids on techniques but i couldnt see anything unusual come out the first time but there was alot of puss and infectious looking liquids that came out...after a day or two the original site receeded but as it did another one popped up right on the opposite side of the same finger ! soi kept applying the drawing salve and added some betadine and triple a ointment too and did the same two more times over the next 10 days and i did get that thing in the picture out once but it never started looking any better and not being one to let things suffer i felt like i had two choices at that point.either man up and put her down or wallet up and take her in.long story short,$120 bucks and two prescriptions of sulfame later, were all glad to find ms.quackers in much better health.and shes back to her favorite outdoor activities such as trying to be wherever im about to step next or anywhere right under my feet,lol...and looking for bugs in the lawn...
thank you to everyone and there are already some good videos on youtube about bumblefoot in chickens that i used for preparations that did help tremendously.i dont know alot about copying links but i just searched for curing bumblefoot in poultry and ducks.i think the ones i saw had it for alot longer than i was willing to let poor ms.quackers suffer with it though because in those vids the center was all hard and just plucked right out.or maybe it wasnt bumblefoot at all.the vet said they can also get an infection from a broken or injured finger too.
