Lincomycin S 50

Does anyone know exactly why it says on the label to give to chicks up to 7 days old? Why can't it be used on older chickens? Is it because the antibiotic comes through to the egg and meat? Or is there a different reason?

Lincomycin can be used on any age bird.

Can you give it to just one bird without separating them? What is the dosage for a 9-10 week old dom?
