Growing up in Florida, we went to see them a few times. They are absolutely amazing! They are simply stunning to watch even if you're not a horse person. It's neat how their color changes as they mature. Post pics if you can, please.

I saw them many years ago at the Spectrum in Philly. It's been so long ago, I don't think the Spectrum is even there anymore.

You are going to have a fantastic time. They are simply awesome!!!

ETA--Did you know that Lipizzan's are born black?

Me too, Lisa!

I love watching them. I've been able to see two shows, one I traveled all the way to Dallas/Ft.Worth to watch and the other was in a small town south of where I live currently. I try my best to see them when they are close, even if "close" is three - four hours away.

The last show I went to (in the spring of this year) also featured an absolutely gorgeous Andalusian stallion who was just as impressive as the Lipizzaners.

CoyoteMagic - I knew they were born black.

I have seen them in Gwinnet Center in Georgia. You will love them ! If anyone gets a chance to see them, GO ! ! ! They give a stunning, unforgettable performance.

They will bring one bay stallion with them. He is for good luck !

It is a wonderful sight!! I saw them here in Florida years ago. I also saw that movie when I was a kid. It's a true story from Disney. During WWII the German army were looting all the wonderful art and treasures of Europe. What they didn't steal they destroyed. The American army raced ahead of the Germans in Austria to help save the horses before they were destroyed by the war. It's a great film. I'm a sap also because I cried when I saw them!!
