I crack one of my eggs, and the yolk and white is liquid, close to water. It appears to be otherwise normal, but I know that's not right. I'm also sure that these are fresh eggs, in that I've gotten into the habit of floating eggs to make sure those that are starting to stand on end are hard-boiled. My hens seem to be in good shape, but maybe I'm missing something. Anybody out there have an idea what I've got going here?

All Help Sincerely Appreciated.

How long have they been laying. New layers sometimes have this kind of issue. What's the protein level of your feed, sometimes they need a little extra protein to get it right. Just some random thoughts...

Nine of them only for a couple of months. I will try some protein supplements. Anything anybody else might think of, I'm interested.
