Actually, I have turkeys hatching today.

Oh I know the SSH bantams that I got from Grace, or the bantam eggs I got from my swap partner, oh what maybe your talking about them bantam eggs that just went in the hatcher due to hatch sat.

I am so in over my head!! Yes this is so much like ebay. I have been very good so far.... I haven't ordered eggs since I got those from Grace. As soon as I get my hands on some BLRW eggs I "hope" I can stop the addiction....

Stacey - you have really good looking birds. Where did you read that rose combs are linked to low fertility?

Well, unfortunately, at this time, I'm having some fertility issues. I think my roo is shooting blanks, so I'm having problems with hatching out enough chicks to replace him. I had a beautiful candidate that I was hoping to use, but something tried to get it through the wire and hurt his little leg so bad, I had to put him down. At this point I'm putting in every egg I can in hopes of hatching out a nice dark blue one to work with my current splash girls.

So, folks, it seems I won't have any more eggs available until next spring. Sorry.

How dark of a blue are you wanting? I have a really nice young rooster that is a nice self-blue color I could part with...now this roo is not a pure Barber line BLRW, he is from my line that I have been working on...he has alot of Barber in him, but he is from my best breeding trio. Not sure what his comb is going to look like..I am having more trouble with the comb than anything at this point...shape is good, and I think you would be pleased with the fact that I have really gotten rid of the pinched tail on most of mine...
