is there a list of ducks that fly? does anyone know off the top of their heads?

As Rosecomb-Ryan has said- Muscovies- but also Mallards and the small bantam breeds. The wild ornamental breeds such as wood ducks- mandarins and the like are also fliers. Generally anything other than the domestic varieties that over the years have been selected for egg laying capabilities and meat production.

Starting at bantam, and going up...
-Calls
-East Indies
-Australian Spotteds
-Silver Bantams
-Mallards
-Campbells
-Forests
-Harlequins
-Oudenaarde
-DHBs
-Overbergs
-Shetlands
-Indian Runners
-Magpies

Those that occasionally can get of the ground...
-Orpingtons
-Swedish
-Danish
-Termondes

Those that occasionally can get over the fence (not like that bothers me)...
-All remaining breeds, Except Aylesbury and show Rouen

you are awesome and just rocked my world. thank you.

Buff Orpingtons: do very much fly, very rarely though. One of my girls flew over a 5 foot fence.
Swedish: Can fly but not very well (along with any duck).
Runners: don't really fly, but they can get off the ground for a few feet.
-All ducks can fly but some are poor flyers.
These three breeds I own, so I'm only going off my experiences.
