I love my vet and he saw one of my chickens when she hurt her foot. I am not sure he was happy about it though...anyway, he is super-awesome and I love him!

    Dr. John Ashford
    Town and Country Vet Hospital
    2010 N Salem St
    Apex, NC 27523
    919-363-6363

Also, Dr. Dan Johnson sees all exotics:

    Avian and Exotic Animal Care
    2315 Lynn Rd
    Raleigh, NC 27612
    919-844-9166

    And for after hour emergencies:

    After Hours Animal Emergency Clinic
    409 Vick Ave
    Raleigh, NC 27612
    919-781-5145

Also, the vet school MAY see a chicken if they have an exotic vet working that day. A plus is that they are 24 hours. You must call first because the normal vets will not see a chicken:

    919.513.6911
    or
    919.513.6500

Here's a really good chicken doc in the Richmond, VA area. He is an avian vet and will probably treat other poultry, too.
