For future reference, skinning a dead animal (that's not rotting) is really easy. Look up how to do it online if you have any interest. Tanning is also fairly easy if you get a premade tanning solution, though working the hide to make it soft and pliable takes some effort. A lot of people like foxes as wall-hanger pelts, which means the pelt is tanned to preserve it and then simply used as a decoration, no flexibility required.
This one is probably a bit old to tan cleanly, but you should go take a look for the skull in a few months, fox skulls are neat.
