Listen to your girls!

For future reference, skinning a dead animal (that's not rotting) is really easy. Look up how to do it online if you have any interest. Tanning is also fairly easy if you get a premade tanning solution, though working the hide to make it soft and pliable takes some effort. A lot of people like foxes as wall-hanger pelts, which means the pelt is tanned to preserve it and then simply used as a decoration, no flexibility required.
This one is probably a bit old to tan cleanly, but you should go take a look for the skull in a few months, fox skulls are neat.

Thanks for the info I'm open-minded and always willing to learn new s*** lol

So my girls started making a weird screaming noise that I could hear from inside my house that I never heard before. I look out the window and witness a fox trying to find a way into the hen house circling the enclosure. Foxes are very smart and eventually it would find a way in. I sprint upstairs, get my rifle and with 1 shot I take it out. Life is real. I decided 10 hens lives was worth more than 1 fox. Am I right? Well, there is no real answer to that. I rather not but I rather than.

They normally split up on roosting bars. This is the first night they have forced themselves together.

Dammnnn you are a living legend!! Lol good for you. Can you come over and get the Harrison Hawk that was munching on a sparrow while I walked up on it? My girls didn’t come when I called...the brazen hawk just looked at me like “what?”
Got my gun loaded cause it’ll be back.
You should change your name to~one shot wonder~
GOOD for you!:thumbsup

savage 93r17 ..... the one that comes with the scope. Everyone is all about 22s but I am telling you this .17 has been more accurate and deadly than any 22 I've ever owned.

Well I’m thinking I’ll get a chance to test my skills. Been here 12 years and saw my first Harrison this spring. Thought they were migrating from the south. They are huge! 3x’s bigger than a female red tail. And they hunt in packs. Lovely just lovely! :rant
And yes listen to your girls!
Especially if they are silent or won’t come when called.

Just FYI
Legal Status
All hawks and owls are federally protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act (16 USC, 703-711). These laws strictly prohibit the capture, killing, or possession of hawks or owls without special permit. No permits are required to scare depredating migratory birds except for endangered or threatened species (see Table 1), including bald and golden eagles.

In addition, most states have regulations regarding hawks and owls. Some species may be common in one state but may be on a state endangered species list in another. Consult your local USDA-APHIS-Wildlife Services, US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), and/or state wildlife department representatives for permit requirements and information.

It is currently chucked 50 feet into the woods AKA I live on 5 Acres and I'm surrounded by about a hundred acres of woods and cow fields so nothing like this would ever go to the landfill for me

Tanned and the other words and suggestions people are saying he's out of my league meaning I just don't know anything about that
Hurry up and go get it! Cut around ankles and wrists on all four legs. Cut from each heel to the other just over the top and around the anus. Cut down the tail carefully and pull the tail bone out. Free the hide cutting as you go and pull the hide off like your taking off your shirt. Pull the arms free and cut the ears as close as you can to the skull. Same with the eyes as you pull down over the face. Cut off at the cartilage of the nose. Smash your easy button!
