Listless and Sick Chick

The chick is likely constipated. Try giving a half a teaspoon of coconut oil slightly chilled so it's firm, and stuff it into the little beak until you get it all into the chick.

She doesn't act cold. She lays quite a ways from the lamp actually. Also, I'd like to give her some coconut oil, but Kiki (look at page 1 of this post) said I shouldn't put anything else in her mouth. Kiki thinks that something could have went down the wrong pipe.

She isn't swollen, pasty or bleeding though. Her bottom is actually clean.

Sorry, let me clarify.
I do not think the original cause with the chick acting weird was because something went down the wrong pipe in the mouth. But I do think that maybe by you putting this silver stuff in her mouth that it could have gone down the wrong pipe which is causing the bubbling in the mouth now.

Are you sure it has been eating?
The walking backwards could be from malnutrition or deformity....or injury. Is injury...dropping or being pecked in the head a possibility?

Do you have a thermometer under your heat source?
Can you post a picture of your set up?

Okay. But giving it coconut oil will not hurt it, and it could save its life. Chicks die from constipation.

That is an actual heat lamp you are using?
It is most likely way too hot in this box.

Yes, I'll get a picture. Unfortunately I do not have a thermometer. They don't act too hot or too cold. The rest are acting completely fine, and as I said earlier, even the sick one didn't act cold...just listless.
I am giving them 18% chick starter/grower.
