Probably not directly, but the whole stress of the situation may have pushed her over the edge sooner. I lost 4 hens over the holidays in about a 10 day span when we had a very long cold snap with temperatures in the single digits at night. They were all older, didn't lay for a long time, and suffered from various things like ascites and internal laying. Stressors, such as molting, extreme cold, a predator attack, or a move to a new home can bring about a faster death, when they are already dealing with illness.
