no, what is silver spray??? never heard of that before. i have blue cote...

Can't use Blue Kote around the eyes. I have dabbed it on my rooster comb before but would be leary of using it close to the eyes. Silver is just that silver. Before all the man made chemicals came about silver was used for wounds infections etc. I order mine from HealthyHabits.com I put it into a small spray bottle and use it to spray insect bites and also to spray my throat if it feels scratchy. Look it up online for all info. But for my ducks and chickens i have mostly used Vetericyn because it is safe and works really well. You can get it at TSC

Hi, I'm new, I just wanted to know how you got on with the little duck u mentioned. I too have just bought a duck home and have noticed these balled patches around the eyes, I'm worried about the cause and wether this could spread to my other ducks?? I too can't see any lice, which was my first thought when I noticed the problem.....

This is an old thread, but what were the living conditions your duck was in? if they don't have proper water for washing their faces then it can lead to what your seeing especially if no parasites are present. Veterycin spray is an excellent product, pricey but one I won't be without, also ACV unpasterized put 1-2 Tab into the water bucket for washing faces and for drinking. I'd keep your new duck separated till you see improvement.
