Little giant =GIANTpile of junk

I have a LG as well and it took us a long time to get the temps stable but we finally did. We tried everything from installing a fan (tried it blowing on the eggs and then turned it to blow towards the ceiling which worked better) to more water, less water and then finally we moved it to a room with more consistent temps which finally did the trick. We are keeping a log of temps and humidity and checking everything every 3 hours during the day and so far so good. Out of 24 eggs that we set, 22 are doing perfectly. It takes time and patience but you can get it to work. My advice...pay attention to the room temps because that can play a big part in getting the bator temps good. Once we moved the incubator, we adjusted the knob maybe twice and haven't touched it again.

I recently purchased the LG and had the same issue with the temp adjustment pin. I was able to drill a small hole in the side of the pin through which I inserted a 2 inch brad nail. Now the nail works as an indicator for my temp position so that when I make adjustments I can see just how far I actually moved the knob and return it to the original position if I over-corrected. I just used a sharpie to mark on the base where the end of the nail points at was 99.5 (It's a forced air), then I know at least where I'm starting from when making changes. This has helped me make adjustments but the incubator remains very dependent on ambient air temp so a draft free room with a constant air temp is key but difficult to achieve in a house with forced air heating in the winter.
Best wishes.
