Little Giant Incubator Tricks

KYKels0, My suggestion, if you haven't, is to read this thread starting with post #1. It has a lot of good information with tips and tricks for people who are incubating and hatching in an LG. If you can learn to hatch in an LG you can hatch in anything.

As far as the temperature, I put my temerature probe at the same level as the eggs so I get the true temperature at the same level as the eggs are. Just my opnion. I calibrate my thermometer/hygrometer so I know my temperature and humidity are reading correctly. Good luck and have fun...

Here are some of my hatches.

I have a hatch going on too right now. Day 21 is tomorrow but the little buggers decided to start hatching yesterday or I was off on my days, but I write everything down on a calendar.

Same here, this afternoon will be 21 days and one started yesterday at noon, this morning I've got 10 more pips. I did write it down - they just can't read the calendar yet is my guess.

Hello first sorry my english as I see all the world has different way for incubator . I Can advice you more professinal option for turning eggs

I finally read through this entire thread. Something that I have found that works for me is one of those thermometers that has a remote sensor for "outside." I put that one in the incubator, and then I can keep the main unit someplace where I can see it often. I don't have to keep going into the room to check on things so the temperature can stay more stable in there.
