Sounds like a great use for it, if it works. Having utterly failed as an incubator, I returned mine to the store. I found that the temp fluctuations were more than most eggs could handle - some 7+ degrees in each direction, even after a week of calibration (which was neccessary because the adjuster is horrendously challending to make small adjustments to) but maybe it won't be as bad with eggs close to hatching?
I would, however, caution you that it is miserably difficult to keep sufficient humidity in an LG incubator. I have heard that enough wet sponges can safely do it, but I am still skeptical.
Some people have said they have no trouble at all with them. Most, however, feel as I do that the incubator killed poor innocent chicks, and you would be better off without it. Course, as a hatcher, it may be ok, I don't know.
Sorry I can't be more help.
