LIttle Giant Still Air Incubator

From what I have been told here, in a still air unit you should stay between 101 and 102. As far as the water weasel. I think it works great. My hygrometer/thermometer has two temps and the one that shows the temp inside that water weasel is usually a tad lower. That is the temp inside the eggs supposedly. That is the purpose of the water weasel. It helps to determine what the temp inside an egg would be. For instance, if I take the lid off my bator, it may go from 102 down to 99 in a few seconds inside the bator. But the second temp that shows the temp inside the water weasel or egg wont drop or climb that drastically. It takes more time to change. It would take a while for the eggs to either get too hot or too cool. Does that make sense? Hope it helps. Good luck!

I think some here may be a little confused about temp readings. While it is true that you want the AIR temp in a still air around 101, this also means true egg temp is only about 99. So using a water weasel at the same height as the eggs and with the probe in the middle you really want it reading around 99-99.5. Bringing the water weasel up to 101 would mean an air temp of about 104 or more which is WAY to high.

Hope I have helped to clear a few details up.
