you still need to moisten the brown edges, add more damp paper towels, or even wash clothes

dampen around the edge where the egg is broken, so it goes onto the chick under the shell
wait to peel until you've moistened a few times, let it warm up inbetween

She is chirping loudly now. she moved her wing!! the problem (now) is that she made a ROUND hole--not a linear one.

should I leave her alone for a bit? she seems free of the brown membrane...

she might make it out on her own but keep moistening the edges, it looks like a pretty good size hole, she probably couldnt make a line because she couldnt rotate around the egg, she was glued in place

like i said if need be you can peel the egg a bit SLOWLY
