Little man finally becoming part of the flock

Yes he is comical my poor oversexed boy, I even went and bought him a girlfriend he just has to wait until she is out of the brooder. Out of 4 roosters he is the only one getting freaky, but I love him to pieces he is a good roo chased off the cat this afternoon, warned the girls about the sparrow that was sitting on top of the run. Now my silver phoenix Gene he is the one who tries to court me.

He will bring me pieces of bread, grass whatever he finds that is edible and places it by my feet then does his courting dance,I then in return chase him around the run looking pretty crazy stamping my feet about and waving my arms about, kids like it though it makes them laugh.

DH swears he will get that on video when I am not looking.

That. Is. Awesome! Thankfully, both of my roos steer clear of me, except when I pick one of the girls up and they start making racket. Then my black austrolorp comes running and flap his wings and makes a ruckus till I put her down.

Some parents out there appreciate the fact that BYC is family friendly and they shouldn't have to worry that their children are getting an adult education on a chicken board before they are ready to talk to their kids. Whether "kids these days are educated beyond belief" or not is not the point. It is not for anyone on this board to educate them...deliberately or not.

Adult topics and jokes
HUMAN Sexual based topics
HUMAN Reproduction and related topics.
Ethnic and racial slurs and jokes.

All this is inappropriate for BYC. There are many other message boards more suitable for such topics.

Thank you.

Judy's right. Let's keep it clean, hey?

This is a fun thread, so let's not get it locked. I've got another funny rooster story for you:

A friend of mine (non-chicken owner at the time, now has his own flock) came round to get some eggs from me one day. I walked him to the gate and on the way we passed the chicken coop. I had a youngish roo in there at the time who just started crowing, if you can call it "crowing". As we walked past, chatting away, the roo decided to try crowing again. I ignored it and carried on walking and chatting, but soon realised I lost my friend. I turned around and found him literally frozen to the spot, next to the coop with the funniest look on his face. I asked him what the matter is and he replied "What the heck was THAT?!" After all these years I still smile when I think of that incident.

Last night my little roo was doing a little chicken dance, showing off his smooth moves. He leaped up and landed half on the side of a feeder and fell over. Sort of let the air out of his sails lol. Clean is good!

Someone should tell him the whole idea is to impress the ladies, not amuse them.

These are so funny! I wish I had recorded my little men 'crowing' one day when I left them out, had me in tears. 5 crows in a row ranging perfectly from 'perfect 10/10 (oldest roo)' to ('pathetic choked squeak 0/10'

"Cock-a-doodle-doo!!" "cock-doodle-doooooo!" "cock-doodle-doo!" *cock-a-doo!* *SQUEAK!*

Bless him :') he tried his best to join in with the bigger boys.
