Hi I have some bantam Cochins that are going to be pets for my daughter- well three of them are buff colored and one of these already sEems to have a larger, redder comb and wattles. Could the sex of these chicks be showing already? I don't think I have been able to tell so early before, but we have been handling these chicks a lot more because as I said we are trying to make them into pets.
Also, just want to throw out there that I have had really good luck with strait run chicks from mcmurray. Once I even got 3 for 3 pullets standard blue cochins. I have never gotten more than 50 percent roos in 5 years.

Yes, by two weeks I was able to tell the difference between the boys and girls on my cochins. When you have both sexes it is much easier to tell.
