About 2 months ago I posted about my runt chick, Legs, who was nearly 1/4 of the size of his sister and refused to grow. 2 months later he’s still small, but healthy and strong it seems! His poops are definitely the size of a full grown hen, I’ll tell you that…

I’ve tried everything to help him along, but it seems like he’s just been thriving as a tiny chick. If you have any advice, let me know!

I’m not sure if he is, but there’s an article about dwarf chickens here if you want to check it out.
I’m not seeing the average dwarfism traits in him, his skull isn’t sloped and angled down at the eyes, and his legs are normal length for his size. I noticed dwarf chicks look “cute” if that makes sense, small heads and big eyes, short legs, wider necks. Who knows, maybe it’s a form of it! Hope he continues to thrive, but I continue to be surprised when I check each morning and see him alive lmao.

He's adorable! I bet he'll fill out a bit more once his cockerel hormones come in. And why does it always seem like the smallest birds do the biggest poops? 🤣
We keep joking that if he survives to maturity, the ladies are gonna be more in control than him. His sister is super defensive and pecks the heck out of anyone who tries to pick him up, so we call him our “wussy rooster”. Lovingly of course. :lau
