And they have to bend over under there so it's so easy to get cut and my HUGE buff orpington was under there.... gosh those myschivious chickens!!! :p

So sorry to hear about your chicken having the gash on her belly. I hope she heals fine too. If it were my bird, I'd hope to have aloe vera and I'd kill that plant about 2-3 parts that stick up like thick leaves, three aloe vera stems and move feathers around with her on her back if she can settle down and i'd put aloe vera on her myself and that should help her. But taking her to a vet would be a good idea too, even if they don't use aloe vera. Aloe Vera usually heals a sore very well and it can like clean it too for bacteria. I wonder what happened to her. Seems like a cat or a racoon attacked her but something saved her life. Glad she didn't bleed to death. I hope she gets better soon.
 
Yeah it's pretty nasty. But it's scabbing. so i guess it's healing. I put peroxide on it twice a day and she's doing good. but she is not happy about being in a cage!!! I will let ya'll know how she does ;)
 
I always crow with my rooster. it's fun. I even talk with my guinea. But lately she says buck-wheat like any other guinea online, but she used to often talk different than buckwheat. I'm working on making a video of her and I talking again. One day recently, I didn't have the cam ready and she was talking and I was busy and I felt bad that I missed it. But she doesn't always say buckwheat to me, we talk together usually. We used to talk a lot of the time, then she seemed to stop. I say what I think she says besides buck-wheat and she answers me half the time now.
 
i crow back and forth with my rooster!!! LOL it's sooo fun!!! I talk to my chickens too and they talk back to me
