And then this afternoon we had to take my rooster to the vet to put him down

I miss both of them so much and I am exhausted and stressed and very tired. The good thing I did today was I got to go to a livestock sale, which was fun. At least Kid rock, my rooster, and Annabeth aren't suffering and are in chicken heaven. Both of them were suffering. :(

thanks. Sadly the other 3 chicks that hatched passed away too....something wasn't right with those chicks. But I really miss annabeth even though I only had her for like 24 hours, there was something about her that made me get attached. I like to remember good things about her like when she cuddled on my chest and it was a amazing that a tiny little chick was so warm. I may do a search in the other chicks bodies to see if I can figure out what was wrong. I won't be incubating chicken eggs....taking a break. But I will set some pheasant eggs and who knows what I'll come home with Saturday :p

Thanks. :( It's really bringing me down but I will move on. But it's always hard to lose a chicken mainly because mine are like my best friends and family so when I lose one it's hard on me. But on the bright side I got a pheasant hen and she's laying and I'm going to a chicken swap Saturday :)
