I'm sore from building a chicken shelter yesterday. So far so good with the eggs.

Oh, also we just ordered 65 chicks:

15 Buff Orpington pullets
15 Easter Egger pullets
10 Straight run White Jersey Giants
25 Sraight run Buff Orpingtons

Now we have to cull a bunch of old no-namers.

WOW! I love buffs! Awesome! I am hatching an americauna/BLRW cross.....hoping it will somewhat look like a BLRW with a beard and tuffs and lay green eggs.......

we bought 35 a few weeks ago and we just got 140

Somewhere around 120, I'll have to count. No that's Crazy. A hen that was just regular, till she cut herself somehow. We didn't know she was cut until it got infected. Then we were taking care of her yet it still went septic. She pretty much died, we gave up on her. Then she just kept living. So I decided to give her sugar water and buttermilk, and now she's VERY sweet and healthy.
