I have had a very bad day today. My new chick Annabeth passed away and I am very upset about that. I got really attached to her yesterday

And then this afternoon we had to take my rooster to the vet to put him down

I miss both of them so much and I am exhausted and stressed and very tired. The good thing I did today was I got to go to a livestock sale, which was fun. At least Kid rock, my rooster, and Annabeth aren't suffering and are in chicken heaven. Both of them were suffering.

Yeah she is. She was my favorite hen named Nugget's baby and she was the first to hatch in my incubator. She had crooked neck. I tried to help her but I guess God didn't want her to suffer. She was the cutest chick I have ever seen...literally

Thanks. I don't think I've had a harder day in raising chickens yet But that's life and everything happens for a reason.

Reminds me of the time I had 8 chicks and 1 survived. (5 years ago, and I still have the survivor) You just have to move on...
