Well even though she didn't fly off, make no mistake, she's still gettin' her wings clipped today. I don't ever want to get scared like that again.

Well, the chooks have 2 waterers they drink from. I put antibiotics in one and electrolytes in the other one. Juanita coughed a few times in the first few hours after I found her, so I'm going to make sure she doesn't get sick ... and if she does, we don't want it spreading to the rest of the flock. Electrolytes/vitamins are good for the whole flock in this hot weather, and the antibiotics are a good preventative, I think. Nobody is laying eggs yet, so no worries as far as that goes.

As of the last time we checked on them about half an hour ago, all 5 were happily dustbathing in a shady spot underneath the cedar tree. I will sleep like a baby tonight.
