Live Black Soldier Fly Larvae?

I'd like to give the birds some live bugs, for fun (we don't free range). I've seen people in the UK can get live BSFL. Having a hard time sourcing it in the US. Anyone have a suggestion?

I know I can always get some crickets at Petco (or from under our trash cans ), but would prefer something that doesn't jump at my face.

You might want to consider raising your own, you can order a starter to raise them yourself. From what I understand it's not that hard. At least you'll be sure they were raised in good conditions and just freeze any excess you get for later use.

I'm in UK and I used too use the dried black soldier fly. They loved them and I think these helped keep a lot of nasty bugs away

Mine go bananas for the dried BSFL, but I save them for special occasions only.
