when we've had workers in the yard so the hens couldn't free range I filled the coop with straw so the crickets could hide and dumped a box of 50 or more in there.
NO ONE cared that they were left in the coop all day hehe
No, they won't get burnt out on crickets. Mine LOVE crickets and when we let them out to free range, they always include rounds of the areas where the most crickets are usually found. They run them down, fight for them, jump, scrape, plow, and go nuts when they find one.
