I think that the full phrase (according to my Japanese for Dummies book, at least) it's "O genki desu ka?" which, for those who do not speak any Japanese, translates to something along the lines of, "How are you doing?" Though, according to, again, my Japanese for Dummies book, it is a serious inquiry about a person's health, and using it to greet a someone you just saw the day before is improper -- it's more of a phrase to use when you haven't seen them in a long time.
... I'm pretty sure, at least.
Genki des yo!

Well, it's one of my favorite subjects so that can be arranged. Last hatch did not go well do to design flaws and I've been beating up the designer over that for a week. I'm feeling good about this round.
I was just trying to ask you if you've ever hatched anything before... But my internet was tripping again.

What happened with your last batch?

Translation... ummmm... " In good health," roughly? As a greeting? Is that right?
Man, Jisho.org has been such a freaking huge help with my kanji learning and translating!
I think so!

I interpret it as "I'm all good" or more modernly "I have completed my self assessment and found it's results satisfactory"
