If you feel like a road trip to central Vermont I have some great red star pullets for sale. They are laying like gang busters right now.

Hi CapeCodPeeps!

from another Cape Codder!
As far as local farm stores, I use the one off Exit 5. Head towards 6A off the exit and look for Lombard Street on your left. The store is located on your right. They get deliveries of chicks just about every other Monday and have good chicken supplies there.
Online, check out Murray McMurray - they have a great selection.
Hope that helps.

When I went to waquoit on wednsday he had just gotten a bunch in of day old reds. He also had a a mix of week old that I had purchased on monday,..and he had a ton. Not sure if he had the ones you are looking for but I would call him and ask if he doesn't maybe on his next order he could add some. You never know. When I called him on a monday to ask if he sells chicks, he said yes but they had just closed,..I realized my husbands commute would bebringing him by there right around then and low and behold, when I called my husband he just so happened to be driving by the place. So I called him back and said I know your closed but my husband is outside will you sell him 6, and he opened up and did that. Very nice man. Also, the place in west barnstable on lombard told me she would be getting in another order of chicks most likely monday (today) theirs go pretty quickly, so I would give them a call too.

Hey CapeCodPeeps, did you see the article in Cape Cod Times late last week about the Times writer Laurie Higgins starting with chicks? There's a reference in there to a chicken breeder/raiser named M____? Ivins? Might want to look her up.
