My chicken I weighed was 7.1 LB today what will it dress? Should I feed longer? I still like one full week to be 8 weeks old.

Generally they will be 1/3 less after dressing. If you go further and cut the meat off the bird they will be about 1/2 the dressed weight.

would be roughly a 4.8 lb bird. I always estimate it at 30%, but a lot of the times it is closer to 25% but always estimate high and then if you get lower well that is a bonus.
