Birmingham Jefferson County Animal Control Services is currently in the field assisting with animal relief efforts. If you have lost or found a pet, please call 205-397-8534 or visit the BJCAC facility at 6227 5th Avenue North, Birmingham, AL 35212. Please do not leave a voicemail. THIS NUMBER IS NOW ALSO TO BE USED FOR TUSCALOOSA COUNTY LOST AND FOUND PETS!!
Please help us spread the word
They are asking for help from all over, I have asked if they have a live stock - farm animal rescue and this is where they directed me.

ETS: People are slowly getting their pets back, I know there is still so much work to be done. But its great each time I see a success story of family and Pets being reunited.

We are in immediate need of very temporary cat fosters. We only need them until mid-week, but we need them starting tomorrow (Sunday). We have some adults, some kittens, and two pregnant cats. Respond on the Alabama SPCA FB page if you can help, and we will be in touch.
