Livestock dogs and Donkey introduction

My wife wants mini donkeys and my question is. I have a Livestock protection dog, no animals for him yet and everything I read about "dogs and donkeys" is donkeys dislike anything that is wolf or wolf-like and dogs, Is it possible to integrate dogs and donkeys?

I've heard the same thing about donkeys. Maybe if they grew up together as babies it would be different. But I don't think I would risk it.
