What camera do you recommend?
I work 12 hr shifts and I'd love to check in on the incubators? I have a incuview and a nurture 360.
That and I have friends and family that like to watch when the eggs are hatching. Any apps to use for that?
Thanks in advance.
Kris

You might consider the Wyze cameras. They cost $25. I use Wyze cameras to watch chickens or look at what predators might be lurking. I have one at the front door to see who is coming to the house. Have one in the living room to see what the dogs are doing. Liked them so much that I got them for 2 of my sons to put up in their homes.

My friend's daughter has access to her cameras. That way she can check up on her elderly mom to make sure she is okay.

Do you just pay $25 for the camera and you’re good to go, or do you have to pay a subscription fee? I’d like to put some around my yard and watch my chickens while I’m away, but I’m constantly short on cash.

I have looked at the Wyze cameras about a year ago and abstained for the simple reason that they could only be accessed through the Wyze app on your phone. No way to watch the video from your computer or another device. Has that changed?

Just checked on the Wyze web-site:

Absolute No-Go for me!

Just checked the website, says you can buy a micro SD card (32gigs for $10) and access the videos off of that.

No subscription fee. If you want to save a few days you buy a MicroSD card that will save about 5 days and then start to rewrite over the old stuff. For the $25 Wyze does save 12 second clips when the camera senses motion for free.

If you join the Wzye forum on Facebook you will find that people have figured out ways to watch their cameras via computers and other devices. They explain how to do it. I don't do that as I have no need. Phone works great for me.

It also says it’ll keep videos on the cloud for like 2 weeks before they’re deleted. Sadly it says all of the camera are indoor use only... you think mounting one in a clear plastic square counts as indoors? 🤔
Yes, Wyze cameras are rated for indoor use only. However, people like me use them outdoors. They sell housings to protect the cameras or you can build your own. A bird house makes a great housing and makes the camera nearly invisible. I live in Montana and have 4 cameras set up outside. We haven't gotten very cold this year. Has only been down to 4 degrees F. However, the cameras keep working just fine. I have them in the housings I bought from Amazon except the ones in the chicken coop and run.

The only problem with a clear container is that the infrared light would reflect off the inside of the container so your night vision would not be very good.
