I always end up having to use my nose lol or focus and try not to move the camera before the picture

I can't use voice commands on my DSLR that I use not that I haven't tried a few choice commands on it.

They make little tripods to hold cell phones with that may be the best way to photograph eggs being candled. It would steady the phone with perfect composition while the egg sits still on the candler.

I don't think so but a course in photography might help. Most community colleges have them available at night. I took two. Photo I and Photo II. Fun and useful classes that helped me make quite a few dollars over time.
