living outside

aw what a cutie

The barred rock looks quite nice, actually they all do.
It'd be interesting to have a nice variety.
I might have to buy a bigger run!
hey, thanks for all of your help and stuff, i really appreciate it.

I got a white leghorn called Jsquared and an australorp called Christmas Lights
I like them to have creative names

of course they're quite a bit bigger and fethery-er now
*sobs* they grow up so fast

White leghorns are about the most skittish breed I could think of :p

Australorps are quite friendly though. Is she blue? Very pretty!

Yeah the leghorn does seem to make a bigger fuss when i go to pick them out.
My mum originally chose them for egg production not friendliness, she chose an araucana too but that was pecked to death by the unaccepting mother.
I'm not sure what colour, the breeder didn't specify anything. To me she looks more black than blue but I'm not really a chicken expert. She seemed a lot darker when we first got her and didn't really have the lighter tummy like the rest of them had.
I'm more of a parrot person, but I love all birds too much to say no, and who could say no to fluffy little baby chicks anyway?

Tell your dad that they are bantams, and eat half as much as your other chickens ;)

They are incredibly docile, and I don't have to chase them around to catch them. Walk up and pick them up. Done.

Please do send pictures if you get one! :D
