Lobes with White and sore spots

Can anyone help me and tell me what is going on with my hens?
I have 3 that are a year old
One looks like it’s molting (she’s loosing her neck feathers but the others aren’t). Probably unrelated but nothing just in case.

My Easter egger has had white in her comb for a while and now it looks more shriveled and sores included. My orphingtons have sores but no white.

I guess it’s the earlobes, not combs. I’m not really proficient in chicken anatomy! Ha. I’m learning though!

Are you aware that your chickens have fowl pox scabs? It is a virus carried by mosquitoes. It is evident by the cream colored dots on the wattles and the sores on the earlobe. There are some on combs. It lasts about a month and most chickens recover. Molting causes combs to shrivel, and egg laying stops, so maybe the shriveled earlobe is related.

I think the white is normal--some chickens have red earlobes, some have white, and some have a mixture. (And Silkies have blue earlobes, and I've seen a few shades of pastel blues and greens on some other chickens, but red and white are most common.)

I see Eggcessive has already addressed the scabs.

I agree, I see some minor Fowl Pox scabs as well. The scabs are best left alone. Just monitor your hens to see that they are eating/drinking.

White on the earlobe looks like normal color leakage to me which is common.

The pox scabs are hard to see because there aren’t a lot of them, so it looks mild. Leave the scabs alone since disturbing them may help spread the pos virus. Some do use Betadine (povidone iodine) to paint the scabs to help dry them out though. @Wyorp Rock is correct about the white spillage being normal in some breeds. Ear color can vary in breeds.
