What is everybody favorite hawks

Red-tails, since they're the only ones who don't go after my chickens. I do love peregrines, but those aren't hawks.

Just wondering what are the most pretty birds you see

for me they are blue jays and cardinals

Cardinals and gold-finches.

Hi birdlovers, this is a couple of inexperienced redstarts that last may nested in a wall cavity in my garden. I named them McCallisters after the irresponsable parents in Home alone, since that hole was not at all safe: even a cat could reach it.
I watched them feeding their babies all day long, it was fascinating. Sadly the nest was eventually attacked by a snake, who ate all nestlings (and the worst thing is that I was there: I tried to rescue them, but I couldn't). I closed that hole to keep the parents from using it again.
The couple nested again in my garden later, in a safer place. At least they learned their lesson.
They're not around in this season, but I hope they will come back in spring.
