Local Feed Mill vs. Feed Store?

I always get my Purina from the mill in the next town up. It is 4 dollars cheaper, much fresher as they have a huge turn over much more so then the feed store which is a chain, they are so much more helpful and knowledgeable, and I am supporting a local business. They also carry name brand DE and if there is something I need they will get it fast if they don't carry it. Trudy

Located Tacoi Feed Mill in St Augustine Florida. They have 50lb bag of crumble (laying feed) for 15 dollars For Ducks and chickens and yes they can eat the same feed. at this point they are out of oyster shell but expect a shipment in.....They also supply Chicken Starter but did not ask the price the phone number is 904-829-8484 Call before you make the trip see if they have what you want I spoke to Margaret who was very helpful she also mention that they do do custom orders. Freshness like anything inspect before you buy...Hours are 8 to 5:30 Monday through Friday, Saturday 8 to 12noon. good luck.....I will be going there this week....
