LOCK DOWN!! Anyone else due the 25th? WE HAVE BABIES AND PICS!! (Pg 4)

We incubated small side down .. then took the turners out, layed them on their sides for lockdown.

Ours are hatching.

Becky...your egg looks like it is doing fine. you didn't kill anything. no panicking. mother hens are just relaxed as all get out. you should be too.

if you are using an auto-turner, you would insert them pointed end down. when you are hand turning, it is irrelevant.

7 out so far! Now we have:
I frizzle EE
4 mottled cochins (not too sure-see pic!)
1 HUGE blue orp
1 Speckled Sussex
(1 banty BLRW 1/2 way out &1 banty frizzle pipped)

I thought the Orp was a wellie egg, still no sign from them.
Check out the chick on the left- supposed to be a mottled cochin. Are they normally that color? The others are 2 blue ones, and one black.

Miss Jayne- I will try next time with your EEs, but these eggs (90+) are from neighboring states, and I'm down to 10 possible. Shipping really doesn't go well with the gravel mountain roads
