Lock Down - Here goes nothing

Well isn't that something. here it is 2 days after the eggs were suppose to hatch and I decided to leave the eggs in just for the heck of it and low and behold when I woke up this morning something told me to go check it(I checked it yesterday morning and there was nothing, didn't check it the rest of the day) and there was a baby quail in there. there has been no chirping, nothing. I think I will leave the eggs in there for today and if nothing else hatches by in the morning I will check the eggs and get rid of them. I hope everyone else has better luck then me.

Were your eggs shipped eggs? My quail were also very quiet when they hatched out.

I candled them, about half were doing great, veins, then dark solid mass at the 2nd candleing(when they went into lockdown) the other half never developed anything. now I just have to figure out how to keep this 1 alive since they don't do good alone
