lock down question

I am now on lock down mode for my 1 single silkie egg..(others never made it,were frozen when I got them,and never took)
anyways I added another egg to the incubator making the 2 of them 5 days apart, I am in lock down for the 1st egg,,but I still have to turn the second one 3 times a day..is this going to cause a huge problem?? I had to add another egg since I didn't want the one chick to be alone...I have the temp right,,and the humidity is great. I'm

nervous!!!!

Well you will lose your humidity every time you open the incubator, so do it quickly. If the first chick had trouble getting out of the egg it may get shrink wrapped inside the egg because of the humidity and temp drops. It is possible you will have no issues, but also possible you could have to assist if the 1st chick gets stuck. If it pips and doesn't zip then you could have to assist. Good luck!

When I was a kid my grandparents had chickens and an incubator and us kids were always adding eggs to it. So everyday it got opened and eggs got turned, chicks removed, etc. And I remember most were fine, but every now and then we had to assist them. Have faith and good luck.

hehe I am now using a fondue fork that fits between a small space at the top,,so I push the egg that needs rotating,lol,and all is still kept closed Have to be creative right? I'm on day 21 and no action at all from the due chick.. I have a shallow bowl of water with a sponge soaking it it,,definitely enough humidity. I am using a 5 gallon tank as my incubator,with the outside wrapped in insulation carpet. I am getting anxious now!
