Lockdown 10/26 Paint Silkie Eggs!

Sorry, wrong person to ask but maybe Elite can provide more info. I'm new to this and these eggs due to hatch Saturday are from another breeder. The young paints I currently have came from Bren and Judy Lee.

To my knowledge, Judy Lee breeds Dutch and American Paint lines. I do believe that Judy Lee has both, pure Dutch lines and a mixture of Dutch/American lines. Bren breeds European and American lines. My lines are European/American crosses and came from Bren.

I'm not sure who imported the Dutch and European lines into the US.

They were imported by Jerry Schexnayder of Vacherie, LA through Sigrid Van Dort of the Netherlands. Incidentally, Jerry happens to be a good friend of mine as he also imported the Malaysian Serama back in 2001.

I was curious if anyone had developed pure American strains of the silkie or if all have been crossed to the Europeans... thanks for your help!

If I'm not mistaken Judy Lee has the Dutch and Pure American Lines. I have 3 that are pure American Lines, but they only have 1 maybe 2 black feathers.

Thanks! Nope, it's a singleton.

He will have buddies though because my Catdance eggs are hatching now!
