I just put 27 eggs into lockdown in my homemade incubator with 2 of the eggs questionable. Ok for the first 18 days I let the bator run dry humidity stayed around 18-25% temperature stayed around 98-101. My main concern is when I locked them down i added water to the pan in the bottom and the humidity went up to 65-70% which is spot on from everything I've read but the lid of my bator is covered with fog ? But there is no condensation on the eggs Is this normal or should i be concerned. Here is a little info on my bator storage tote with sunshade from car wrapped along the inside with heat tape in all the corners to hold in the heat the lid is about 5 inches above the eggs. It has a 12v computer fan but its running on 6v so it turns a little slower and doesn't move the air around as fast.

Any help or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
David

Condensation on the windows during lock down is completely normal, I don't think I have ever not had fog on the windows during a hatch. It sounds like you have a good humidity going, good luck with your hatch!

Thank you for the reply I attempted a hatch before this one with absolutely no luck so hopefully this one I will at least have some hatch !
