Seriuosly.. I keep getting confused with figuring this out.
I set my eggs on March 9th around 9:30 am
When do I start lockdown and up the humidity?? to 65% correct???
The 27th??? then they should hatch on the 30th?
Do I start lockdwon at the same time as I did when I set them??
Thanks
for any help I really appreciate it

Sounds right to me. You can do it at the same time, but I've done it with a difference of 4 hours or so ether direction... one time I even did lockdown a day late-oops-but the hatch was still ok.

I do believe you are correct

Set on the 9th, then day 1 is the 10th, day 18 is the 27th, day 21 is the 30th.
About the same time of day is good, though I think that a little early is better than a little late, it also really is not that important.

From what others have said, your lockdown humidity should factor in what the humidity has been from day 1-18, because its all about those air cells and keeping the membrane moist... say it was 50% most of the time, then 65% is good... If it was more like 40% then 70%-75% is good.
May all you chooks

Thanks, I will lock down on the 27th in the morning.....
Humidity has been staying around 45% for the these beginning 13 days so far.. we have the humidity pump from Brinsea... so should I go up to 70% for lockdown?
