Thanks, they're a Christmas present I'm giving to my doctor's wife. I called her a couple of hours ago and surprised her. I'll be taking them to her tomorrow. She's really a neat lady.

5:15 #8 popped out.
EDIT: Was all set to take pictures. Tried to turn the camera on and the battery was DEAD. Have to charge it first.

7:00 P.M. #9 hatched Camera still charging

7:25 P.M. #10 hatched What a relief; with luck she will now have at least five hens and a rooster if the odds are in her favor. That would be the minimum number of hens that I'd want her to have.

VERY VERY cute.....now get the lid back on and the humidity back up for the rest of those babies. Looks like you have quite a few more to go, huh?

All of them due today or is it a staggered hatch.

BTW - thanks for the pix. I will sleep better now (once the DW gets back from "bunco")

Thanks, actually the reason that I didn't hesitate much to remove the lid was because earlier the humidity had dropped down to about 60%. I realized that water was needed so I lifted the lid, pulled back the rubber mat, and added 1/2 a cup of warm water. The humidity jumped up to 84%. I was hoping that it would drop after my removing the lid to do what I did; however, it's already back to 84%.
Is that too high?
There are several more eggs with little holes in them that might be hatching tonight or early in the morning.
With luck, I might get as many as 15 to hatch by noon tomorrow, but actually, I'm overjoyed with the ten that I have now.
