Hi, so I was just putting my mallard duck egg into lockdown. So it was out of the incubator for maybe 1.30 or 2 minutes. I knew it had already internally pipped this morning so I knew it was ready for lockdown this evening, but when I went to put it back in the incubator, I noticed an external pip! It was so invisible that I looked right over it. It wasn't poking out or anything, just smooth along the egg yet when the light hit it you could see a perfect pip. Will this affect the egg at all? Thanks!

It will be just fine
I had a school last year do a hatch
I went in on day 25 to help the teacher get ready for lockdown
We took all the eggs out
Got the turner out and when I went to candle to make sure the dip of the air cell was facing up I felt the crack
Oh no there was an external pip
Baby had been out at least 5 mins
But baby hatched just fine

Oh wow. That makes me feel a lot better. I'm just really worried about this guy because he's the only one to make it this far! Thanks!
