Lockdown in 2 days

No further movement. I can hear peeps out of one egg. (A brown one) The blue egg, all the chick did was crack it a bit. I would have felt better if there was an actual hole. So hard to sit on your hands and wait and do nothing. :(

One pic...but I have 2 (yes TWO) pips! I checked them at 7 am and nothing was happening. I had this whole thing prepared to write about not seeing anything...and those darn baby chicks *wink* ruined it for me!! Lol! I can hear little peeps in there are well. Humidity still at 60%. Ps. This is day 20.
Oh, the waiting

Glad the paper towel worked for you. My first hatch was 16 hours after the first pip. Had a couple early, then a flurry of activity almost to the hour from when they were placed in the incubator. It's kind of like popcorn popping. Good luck!

Okay...awesome news...now go sit on your hands!!! Lol. It can take hours and hours and more hours for them to start zipping those eggs!

Glad your humidity is holding strong. Don't worry about it being day 20. Each egg has its own timing!

Rofl! I left the house. So the temptation is gone. Lol! (Not really but nothing I can do about it 60 miles away!)

Hello everyone, hope you guys don't mind me jumping in. I have 14 eggs in my little giant incubator. The eggs are from my 2 hens(birchen marans). And rooster who fertilized the eggs(hopefully) is also a birchen maran. I'm hoping to make my flock a little bigger, specially with this breed. Today is my 18th day and just want to know about lockdown. I know I have to make humidity go over 65 if I'm not mistaken? What's the most I can give it? And I stop turning them as well. Am I missing anything? I am sooooo excited, this is my first time which I know maybe half won't hatch but who knows. Help please do I need to do anything else. I'm working on the humidity right now.

Humidity was the biggest thing for me. 65% is good, but higher is even better. If you can maintain 65 in that little giant, you will be in good shape. Good luck!

Last time I candled was day 11 which I saw like 3 that I could see and we're not as dark as the others. Is it bad if I do not take some out. What will happen?
